Test Instructions


ON-LINE TESTING INFORMATION

All exams will be administered online at each school
The teacher is responsible for making arrangements for logistics at the school.
Each test will require a teacher to proctor the test.
The testing window will be from August 27, 2013 8:00 a.m. to August 30, 2013 4:00 p.m. 
Based on the number of questions, per test, time limits will be as follows:

Arts and Communication Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes
Business Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes
Health Services Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes
Industrial and Engineering Tech. Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes
Natural Resources Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes
Public and Human Services Core 50 Question Test 60 minutes

Testing Procedures:
All computers used for testing must have internet access.
Testing must be done from a DOE networked system. Non-DOE systems are blocked from the testing server.
It is recommended that schools use Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 12, Safari 5 or Google Chrome 29.  Please be aware that other browser versions may cause conflicts with the assessment software loading properly. Either a PC or a MAC may be used to administer the test.
When students are ready to begin testing, all students must log into the following site:

http://hawaiicte.k12.hi.us/perception5/perception.php

Each student will need to input a user name and password. 

Participant ID= 10 digit ESIS number
Password= Questionmark generated password (case-sensitive)

Each teacher will be provided with information no later than Monday, August 26, 2013. 

Once the student has logged in, he or she will select a test. Once the test questions appear, the test running time begins. Students who are enrolled in multiple core courses will have the same log-in name and password. Students should select the appropriate test at the appropriate time.

Be sure to provide the students with the time constraints for each test.

Please remind students at the end of the test, they must click the submit button to record responses and record scores. 

Students are not allowed to retake the tests.  Each student will only have one opportunity to take each assigned test.

Accommodations for qualified students will be handled on a case by case basis. Contact Ms. Tasha Wearren if you have questions regarding accommodations.
